Bosch logixx SMS69L32GB Water supply fault

I have a Bosch which has developed the following fault. Part way thru quick clean program the cycle it shows fault “water supply fault” check tap is on etc. however the water is getting into machine and there no pressure or water supply issue. If the door is then opened the cycle continues with the fault disappearing. After final clean with 5 mins to go Fault comes back on and machine stops again. Then cycle reverts to neat beginning again (goes from 5 mins remaining to 20 mins remaining) This has been intermitant for a few weeks but now happens with every wash. All different programs
are affected by the “water supply fault”.

any help advice welcome.

there is a sensor on the left hand side. its a small switch fed by 2 wires in the middle of a large plastic water unit. its job is to count the water in

had one the other day with dirty contacts. pulled plug of and on 6 times job cured
