Moderatorwell Bosch fault codes are hard to get
next thing i would check is the thermistor
how does the fault present
turn on fault there
or
turn on set programme and fault only there after pressing startdoes the door lock ?

Participantwhere do i find the thermistor & how do i check it?
start a program the door locks & machine washes (quite violently) but wont spin thats when fault code arrives.

ModeratorAh you may have something
would you say it tries to go into spin while full of water. Is it that violent ?

Participantwhen washing the drum is not rotating fully & it is violent, the water is pumped out but it will not go into spin. thats when lights flash but the pump is constantly running.

Moderatorthat sounds like the tacho on the motor is not feeding back to the timer
you would need to test the motor tacho output is there
the tacho is a spinning magnet in the motor that turns in a coil. this generates a small ac voltage that feeds back to the board. if this voltage is not there the module assumes the motor is stationary and accelerates it
am thinking the magnet may have split which is part of the motor

ParticipantHi,

Moderatorwell i assume from what your saying that before it would start and run violently but now it wont run
sounds like it needs resetting and there is a safety lockout on motor problems. It wont cure the original problem but it will get it going again
you can search for bosch resets and see what you find. would need to see control panel to try to guess which proceedure may work

ParticipantI have done the reset.
when you select any program it now locks the door, fills with water but does nothing else. You can hear the control panel clicking but nothing happens.
thanks RogerDecember 28, 2021 at 5:23 pm #480373electrofix
Moderatorthats means its a motor fault of some kind
still think the voilent movements are the start of it
its possible its blown a circuit board track through high current flowing when the motor was speedingto go from here depends on the tools you have and skill level
DaveDecember 29, 2021 at 10:12 am #480374bruce kez
Participantiam an engineer by trade with plenty to tools, so skill level isnt a problem.
Do you think the motor needs replacing or repairing?
Thanks
