For the first time ever I did a 90 degree service wash on my machine last week. The door seal has a bit of black mould on it & it smelt slightly mouldy.Ever since I did it though, it smells much worse- now of rotton egggs. I tried to drain it from the bottom- ususally loads of smelly water comes out, but this time hardly any water came out. Read the advice page on this hope & it doesn’t need a plumber. It seems to drain ok when i do a load of washing but the washing isn’t coming out smelling fresh even with my scented tablets. Any ideas? 🙁

Thanks, reading that then do you think my maintenenance wash disturbed the gunk? rather than a blockage in the drainage somewhere?& i should persevere with more mainttenance washes (with dishwasher cleaner maybe) until it improves.

Yup, that would be my take exactly. All you’ve likely done is take off the top layer of slime on the first pass or even a few, it can take a fair bit of effort to clear.

Thanks ok I’ll try that then! At least the load of washing I did in it today smelt a bit better than yesterdays! 🙂
