ParticipantHello
My Bosch Maxx 5 (WAA24162GB/11) wont spin or drain the water correctly there is still about half a litre of water left in the drum . There are two lights flashing the Rinse & Spin. Is there a way to reset the machine. Thanks. The machine is only 15 months old & had very little use.June 19, 2010 at 4:36 pm #323329iadom

Has the machine got a pump filter that you can access down at the bottom right?
All but the very basic, budget Bosch machines have one.
If it has then you need to drain off the water, take out the pump filter and remove any obstruction or blockage you find.
If there is no filter to access then the pump has to be unblocked from underneath.
Be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to do this.
EDIT. Having looked at the parts diagram it looks as though your machine does have a user accessible filter behind the small round cover, bottom right.

If you have purchased your appliance brand new, it comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty. Once you have checked the the drain pump as advised by iadom, you should make sure that you dont have a kinked drain hose or if it drains into the sink make sure the sink spigot is not choked up with fluff & grease deposits. Its not unusual to find small items like socks in the sump hose causing a restriction. When you checked the pump, did you try to turn the impeller with your finger? You should be able turn it & it should feel springy to turn, but not stuck. Sometimes a hair clip or something can be stuck behind the impeller causing it to become stuck. Once you are happy you have done all you can, then call Bosch service to arrange an engineer visit.
