I must admit not being a very capable handyman first!

I have replaced the drain motor in my washing machine with the help of a espares youtube clip as it was making a lot of rattle while draining during the spin cycle.

After checking everything is fitted and tight I took the machine for a test wash, and the spin motor has stopped to function. After that I tried to start a “spin” cycle and the fuse blew as soon as the spin motor was starting, and after replacing the fuse the machine has all the lights flashing when powered on without functioning.

I have tried to reset the error codes by switching the dial to 11o’clock and hold the “start” button. I have also removed the back panel and everything (especially the connections to the spin motor) is dry.

Is my machine toast?

when fuses blow its normally serious
chances are if you looked at the circuit board you may have damaged tracks

even if we could fix that we would need to find out why it blew and thats would take skills you have yet to learn

as for the reset i think you may be trying the wrong one
