    Model Bosch Maxx WFL 2260
My washing machine has died completely. Not even a red light on the front panel.
first I checked the power was connected and switched on. I then measured the voltage was getting through the noise filter, no problem.
I then called an engineer to visit who concluded, since he couldn’t see anything else wrong, that it must be the control electronics. His firm then quoted me £250 plus VAT for a panel.
Question>Is there anything else which could be causing this problem ?
If not, how about a less expensive source for a replacement panel ?
    Bosch part no 432218
    Thanks

    Re: Bosch Maxx completely dead

    Unfortunatley sounds about right.

Did the engineer check so see if any voltage was coming out of the board to any other components.?

Try http://www.qer.biz for modules/pcb’s although not sure they do bosch.

    Happy hunting.

I think you might be lucky with http://www.qer.biz
    Certainly worth talking to them.

You should certainly remove and check the board to see if there is any scorch marks/blown tracks/obvious damage.

If it looks undamaged there is a reasonable chance that the failure was due to the board itself.

There is the risk however that even if you get a refurbed board it will pop
again if there is another faulty component elsewhere (ie motor/door lock etc)

A good machine and if all the rest is sound then prob worth fixing if you can do it for a realistic cost.

    Re: Bosch Maxx completely dead

Thanks guys, some good advice there.
I’ve now taken the board out and can see that the diodes are fried.
I’ll try QER and see what they can do. I’ve then got to hope that the fault was something onboard and not anything external or the repaired board will also pop.
    I’ll let you know.

    Re: Bosch Maxx completely dead

Just to finish the story, I sent the board to QER and they confirmed it was faulty but were unable to repair. I was getting some domestic pressure from my wife who wanted to know when she’d be getting a washing machine so, reluctantly, I’ve bought a new one.
Thanks to everyone who offered helpful suggestions.

    RIP
