bosch maxx siemens control board issue

I have a WFL2063GB/12 MAXX1000, that stopped running the spin cycle.
The diodes on the psu end of the board were black with what looked like carbon. I popped them and the caps off and they test ok.
I picked up an older MAXX machine WFL2260UK/01 which also stopped running a spin cycle. This one has the same black (carbon) build up on the front and on the back of the board around the same diodes.
I did get the latter running by changing the pressure switch.
The 2063 won’t run the spin cycle despite changing the pressure switch.
I just get a relay clicking, I tjink it’s tje one behind the suppression? cap on tje psu end.
So what’s with this black residue? And why doesn’t it spin?
Oh, amd what fo i do to resolve……….. apart from msjor transplant surgery as the older machine has been battered.
The boards are Siemens 5WK51307 13, and 5WK51303 03….

“Black residue” is usually carbon dust from the motor brushes. It gets everywhere especially if the brushes have ever been changed in the past with non genuine brushes.

That was my thoughts but why only around the diodes on two totally random boards.
I’m guessing this has allowed AC to run across the chip and cooked it hence the relay constantly clicking.
It’s odd it only affects the spin cycle on both machines.
I haven’t fully tested the older machine yet due to other commitments. The board is still on my workbench. I’ll have another look tomorrow as that’s wash day in this home. The brushes sound rough on it so will swap motors as that’s a 2 minute job.
