Hi,
Need help please, trying to diagnose if the PCB is faulty on our old bosch washer and it’s worth a punt and the £££ to replace it. Been looking in to saving energy around the house when we realised the washer wasn’t using anything like we expect and confirmed waste water and drum are cold after a 90 degree wash which might explain why the seal had gone very mouldy recently.
So far I’ve replaced the door seal and element (think the old one was actually ok) and checked continuity on the loom between the PCB and element, pressure switch seems ok – it’s closing the contacts after filling for a while and blowing down the tube both ways is free.
Stripped the controller down and there are signs of overheating on the board, sooty deposits. There was a burnt track / dry joint around the relay which I’ve repaired but still no joy.
Still need to check the temp sensor and voltage at the terminals (bit tricky with the drum whizzing round)
Anything else I can check or am I throwing more money away?
Thanks
