Bosch maxx washing machine not washing correctly

I have an intermittent fault with my aging bosch maxx wfl1300ee/6.

Sometimes I switch from stop to a program, and it automatically starts (don’t need to press start) , but just pumps for a few minutes then stops.

Sometimes the cycle completes but the clothes are still wet.

Sometimes the spin doesn’t work at all, even to agitate.

Sometimes the machine works perfectly.

The machine is kept in a damp room, which I suspect may be the cause of the problems… But then laundry is pretty damp?

Any idea where I start looking?
