Hi guys. It’s been a while. Hope everyone is well.

This evening I decided to de gunk my machine. I cleaned the dispenser and drawer and water inlets with HG mould spray to shift the black mould, rinsed that out with clean water from a plant spray then did a 90 degree wash with Persil.

At the end of the cycle I wiped inside the drum and seals but there were bits of grey greasy gunk in the drum.

I decided to put it on an extra rinse to clear this but have done 6 rinses so far and there are still bits in the drum at the end.

I have now put it on another 90 degree wash but with no powder.

My question is…where are these gunky deposits coming from? The water is draining away after the rinse. I have taken the waste pipe out of the main outlet pipe and degunked the bit that sits lower down towards the U bend in the pipe.

Any advice would be most welcome.

    Thanks

    Hilary

Keep doing rinse cycles and checking filter as you’ve loosened all the grey sludge in the tub. Loads more to follow I’m afraid. Bosch are famous for sludging up big time! 🙁

Thanks Martin. I peered through the glass into the drum and although I didn’t use any powder this time, the water looks soapy !! I haven’t checked the filter yet( I take it that you mean bottom right of the machine) but will check when this cycle finishes. It could be a long night !
