Hi, I changed the brushes in my washing machine by removing the motor from the bottom as this seemed to be the only way i could see of removing the rear brush. While removing the connector block with 6 orange wires going into it from the motor, all the wires fell out and i couldn’t work out how, or which order they were meant to go back. With them all being orange and no clear markings on the wires or the block i’m pretty stumped. Can anyone help before i go and call out some one to stiff me of loads of money. Changing the brushes in my old hotpoint that lasted 15 years was so much easier…..Thanks……..

    I feel a little stupid !!!!!!

Oh dear……… The good news bit is that the plug at the top end is identical in layout to the one at the bottom, ie left hand at the top -> left hand at the bottom and so on.

    Thanks Penguin,
I’ve spoken to Bosch Tech Dept today and they’re going to send me a connection diagram. Hopefully that’ll help me out.

I got the diagrams from Bosch. I got my brother-in-law in, whos an electrician to read them and put the wires back.
BANG !!!!!! bye-bye Bosch. He’d put them back the wrong way round.
    Laugh………
So please remember you DIYers. When you take the connector block off the motor, make sure you pull the whole thing out rather than just pulling the top of the plug off as this makes all the wires fall out.
Any good tips on a new machine for around £350 to £400 please.

    Hi
Bosch again IMO but if you can stretch another £100, take a look here as these are good quality and are delivered and if the worst should happen, repaired nationwide by select UKW engineers 😀

Do you think it’s worth buying a new motor for it???? How much would one be, and where do i get one??? Sorry for the questions but i’m just covering all options………..After putting all back together and putting in spin mode it did go through the motions. The pump was working and it did start spinning for about 30 seconds before giving up.
I suspect a motor would be quite expensive.

Re: bosch maxx wfl2260 changing brushes?

    Hi
The bang more than likely was the module but may have damaged the motor aswell.
Motor app £150 + VAT, Module app £95 +VAT so quite pricey to start guessing 😥
IMHO it may well be better to get an engineer to give it a proper diagonsis rather than ploughing money into parts that may or not be needed.

Please feel free to use the link below 🙂

No they are fine, basically same build as your last except touch control, so pretty reliable 😉
You also have 2 year guarantee regardless of if you register it. 😀
