ParticipantHave a customer who says he has this Bosch Maxx WFO2466 & it seems not to take away conditioner & will stay on 1 min’ on clock & door is locked, it will not finish, any ideas, i asked him if rinse hold was selected & he said no. Is there a sensor that monitors the dirt or suds in water in this machine?? This is a model i don’t see often so would like some guidance so i don’t look stuuupid…

Don’t like to state the obvious but first place I’d look (after thumping it with my fist and still getting no response) would be conditioner valve solenoid coil.
I don’t worry about looking stupid anymore. If they don’t have confidence in my abilities then I just put the price up.September 2, 2005 at 7:25 pm #146496Martin

Seamy,
Very unlikely to be a valve fault due to its youth, I would think it simply a pump out problem (blockage of some sort)….????

Well i’ve had a look at it now, put some conditioner in dispenser set it to rinse programme, machine took in water & conditioner is all gone, programme said 18 mins at start, but it skips a few mins at finish(from 5) & ends at 1, door opened ok, checked filter no blockages, water went out fast enough, tried again & all ok. Collected readies, happy days, 2 hours later grumpy man on phone , appliance doing same thing. Machine is sitting with 1 on display (is this fault code) door won’t open & conditioner still in drawer??

Have you actually taken the front panel off and inspected the sump hose and the pump outlet hose at the pump? Those water return chambers are a sod for blocking too. Is does sound like pump time-out problems to me which would mean it wouldn’t even get to the final rinse although the count down would continue to decrease. 😉

Fault codes are displayed via wash, rinse and spin lights as a rule.
Normally if it aint taking conditioner, the holes in the dispenser tray are blocked with gunge.A cable tie poked in these holes usually sorts that problem 😉
could be a faulty door lock,as they just unlock approx 2 mins after end of prog, even if there is water in drum

I had an AEG machine the other day with a similar problem and it turned out to be the pressure switch sticking (level three) only after a heat pause. Of course I didn’t test the machine through a heat pause!

Thanks lads for your guidance, just to close this, the fault was , really long outlet hose on appliance shoved all the way down drain to the elbow, obviously was restricting the water flow out & may even have been causing machine to syphon,, anyhows i cut about a yard off it & put hook back on & i’ve not hear of any problems since..just another thing the machines finishes @ 001 never goes to zero even though programme is complete & door opens, customer says it used to go to 000..???

WFO2466 gb /07 fd 8501 608094
have just had a customer complaining of a similar fault
machine stops counting dawn and stops with 1 minute to go but if you do a seperate spin or rinse machine finishes ok
checked all sump hoses and pressure chamber
now machine is over filling and overfill kicks in in pressure switch and lowers water
pressure switch buzzes out ok removed and replaced all connection to pressure sw and pcb had pcb off looked for track damage and bad joint no change
come to the conclusion programmer faulty
machine was 2 years old in feb
anyone got any more ideas ?
many thanks
Dave
