Hi Ive got a Bosch washing machine with a couple lines blown on the control module, they lead to the loom running to the motor.

All im enquiring is would anyone know if this is a common fault with the module its self or would it be possible that a problem with the motor could have caused some feedback to blow the lines?
Im just concerned that I replace it and an underlined problem blows the new one, any ideas?

    Many thanks for your help

Motors (especially after brush changes) and door locks are always blowing the boards. Assuming that this is a Bosch with the all-in-one board in the facia panel. Model numbers do help.

    Hi Penguin,
Yer it had brushes changed awhile ago apparently but they have lots still in them, brushes and armature look fine?! and the machine still runs (draining and filling) so I would say door lock is fine. Is there any particular readings I should be looking for from the motor to judge its worth?
Yer its the all-in-one board in the facia panel and sorry I thought I wrote the model number but here it is

    Thanks again

    Re: Bosch Module Blown

Could be caused by water leaking onto motor. Might have dried out in the meantime and not left much trace. Another possible is wiring loom getting abraded by rough edge of concrete for example. And then there’s carbon build up in and around motor from brushes as they wear. Megger would probably show it up.
