141875 to be precise. Getting through a lot of these at the moment, not surviving the brush change. Some just won’t pick up into spin, some are starting to burn within a couple of days.
Have tried gen brushes, pattern brushes, brushes with the ends pre-bedded, nothing seems to do the trick.
This motor like many similar Bosch/Siemens motor does create a great deal of carbon dust as the brushes wear. Having removed the motor I find it is best to strip the motor down, clean the commutator and brush housing with WD40. File away any burnt metal around brush holder and clean scored comm with a bedding stick before reassembling and fitting only genuine brushes. 😉
If you’re getting through alot of these motors Chris, then you must be one hell of a salesman! No great problems from me with these motors. A brush change invariably does the job, whether pattern or genuine.
