ParticipantHi, got a customer with a faulty energy regulator. Replacement 067231 now supersedes to 605922, Ego 50.52021.010 . Conversion charts included but they include terminals for S1 and S2, which are not on this regulator. Anybody know where the cables currently connected to these go. Bosch are adamant that this is the correct part but will not help. Seriously thinking of recommending a different brand after this ! Any help appretiated. Wizard

do you know if the orginal energy regulator was an EGO if so have you got the original number of it???
Homespares are a stockist of EGO & can you usually cross reference the numbers.
If the replacement does not have S1 & S2 I cant see how it can be used unless it was only switching an additional live or neutral & this switch is not really needed.
I had one recently that was switching neutral (cant remeber which terminals it was using) but they were not on the replacement so i joined those 2 wires & the hob element worked perfectly, but only after I had spent 30 mins working out what was what with the damned thing.September 8, 2010 at 5:22 pm #329780wizard

Yes it was ego, but didn’t get the number off it as it’s all got to come apart to see the number. Expected to get the right part from Bosch. I suppose I’ll have to treat them with the same contempt as other manufacturers – not impressed !

In the sticky above titled “diamond h wiring reference” there is a post from kwatt with a link to a very useful pdf showing what each connection does. It covers just about every type of reg.

Thanks Simon, had already looked at that but didn’t make complete sense without being in front of the hob in question. Going back tomorrow to see if it makes sense when I’m staring at it. Wizard.
