Bosch or Liebherr for refridgeration?

Hi all,

First post in the forums and I’ve seen some great help on here so far, so I hope it can continue to addressing my current quandary.

Having recently moved into a new home, we’re looking to get an under-counter fridge and a matching freezer.

The two options that have caught my eye are the Bosch Logixx range (of which the fridge – KTR18P20GB – has a very clever drawer system that we like) and the combination of the Liebherr 1730 fridge and G1221 Comfort freezer.

I know Liebherr has had some very good recommendations on here previously and the two we’re looking at are less expensive than the Bosch duo, but I would be interested in some expert thoughts on performance and reliability of both brands. Any model-specific insights would also be very welcome.

And of course, if there is another brand I should be thinking about, do let me know!

Brand for brand then yes the Liebherr would be my choice.

The easy access on the Bosch fridge is a nice touch but you are only getting the same capacity as the Liebherr but it is a 60cm width as opposed to the Liebherr 55cm width.

That apart both are A rated, have a good service back up and they look good as well.

One more question: the Liebherr spec states its climate class is ‘SN-ST’. Does this mean that it can operate comfortably in a wider ambient temperature range than the Bosch (which is 10-32 Celsius)?

Yep spot on 😉

The Bosch is SN which as you say is +10 – + 32 degree C

Climate class ST is slightly higher at +18 – +38 degree C
