Bosch oven HBE662BGB/02 oven switches off after few seconds

Ideas please? Been out to this oven. When you turn m/o on, select fan oven, the fan comes on then you turn on the oven thermostat it runs for a few seconds then fan/element etc go dead. If you leave for about an hour it comes back on. Stat at back and cooling fan are ok. there is a porcelain temperature regulator(part no 059710) next to the cooling fan stat just wondering if anyone knows if this may be the fault? (Engineer noted that when the cooker goes off there is power to one side of this regulator) Any help would be much appreciated. Cooker is about 20yrs old but is mint!! Cheers Kez

bypass stat by joining wirs together if unit runs change stat if not check for loose mains lead or connections high ampage through cables could be shorting
