I have a Bosch oven HBN580651B, it tripped the RCD when was on for 30-40 minutes on fan 180C. The food was burnt on the top.
Upon further investigation, it seems like the element heats up just when in “Oven Light” mode, and when on Fan Oven it doesn’t control the heat.
It feels like the element is on whenever the oven is on, which is not correct. Is this a common fault? Has this been seen before?
    Thank you!

    Bosch FD-8808 00001
    E-Nr. HBN580651B
    Type – HTHB38

does sound like the relay on the control board has welded contacts

the manufacturers answer is to change a £200 board but you may be able to source a relay and solder it in

Thanks Dave! will test the relay tomorrow and see if it is welded. If it is welded will see about getting a relay Vs a new motherboard.
