Our recently purchased and installed Bosch hob doesn’t get hot enough especially on the fast burner.
As an example a pan of potatoes in water at max setting on the fast burner does not boil over whereas previously the burner setting needed reducing to prevent spill over.
Also the fat for chips does not get hot enough to crisp the outside.
Enquiries to Bosch Customer (dont) Care have got nowhere except winding up the phone bill with 0870 numbers.
The only response I’ve had is to threaten us with a £60 callout charge if we ‘waste’ an engineers time.
The only observation I can make on the Bosch hob is that the pan supports seem quite high compared with our previous hob.
What test can an engineer perform to prove burners perform at stated output?
    Any ideas.

The Corgi engineer who installed the hob (assuming it was installed legally) should/would have tested the working pressure as part of the commissioning process.

Unless the jets are fitted incorrectly then I would imagine it is working to spec to be honest. You could ask the installer to double check the above to ensure all is OK.

You may have LPG jets fitted on a Natural Gas hob. As Dave said the Corgi installer would have commissioned the hob and checked for any problems. Refer back to him for help etc.
