Bosch Precision WFG 2020

Hello all,
I was hoping someone would be able to give me some advice on an issue I have with my washing machine.
I recently moved into a new house which came with a set of white good, including a Bosch Precision WFG 2020 washing machine.

Unfortunately, it seems that the machine will only wash at 30 degrees.
I have attempted to start a wash on a number of different settings with an empty drum, but all give the same result:

*Turn the dial to the required setting and the ‘Ready’ light lights up.
*Press ‘Start’ and the ‘Active’ light lights up.
*After a very long wait of absolutely nothing happening, the ‘Active’ light starts flashing.
*And that’s it.

I’ve never had to do any work or repairs on a washing machine, so have absolutely no idea what the issue is or where to start.
Also, the house was probate so i cannot ask anyone if it worked before.

Any help or ideas would be great before I get annoyed and buy a new one!

The hot water is either not connected to the machine or the hot water inlet valve has failed I would think.
