Hi. I have a Bosch Exxcel 1200 WF02464GB, probably about 5 years old.

This morning we woke up to find that it had tripped the house circuit breaker and stopped part-way through its cycle.

Now, when switched on, the lights come on, the pump works, the control panel clicks as if the relays are switching, and it fills – but the drum fails to turn.

I’ve had a look in the back, and the motor’s not going round at all. What should I suspect? Is it the motor itself, or is there a fuse somewhere?

    Grateful for any help please.

    Re: Bosch problem

Motor brushes are the most likely cause.

    Useful article here.

Thanks for the prompt reply – will investigate.

Just out of interest – how long should they last if we do a wash every day?

Thanks for all the help so far. I’ve replaced the brushes in the motor – they’re well seated and the mains tags are back on, but I still have the same problem. Everything working except the motor. Where should I look next?

    All advice much appreciated!

    Re: Bosch problem

Unfortunately it may have blown the motor overload at the same time it tripped the circuit breaker.

Overload is inside the motor end cap, needs testing with meggar or multimeter.

Not available as an official spare and TBH if it has blown the TOC then the chances are that the motor armature is damaged which means new motor time. 😥
