ParticipantI have the bosch SGS69L12GB logixx dishwasher. It is only about 7-8 months old!
The quick programme when pressed has always shown a duartion of 29 mins. When ever i press it now it always shows 39 mins why?

Logixx – adaptive software, so something about the conditions has changed – probably colder water coming in ‘cos it’s winter.
It’s under guarantee, so if you are concerned, speak to BSH.

Hi,
So you don`t think there is a fault? I think the duration of all the programmes have slightly increased: For example.
1) Quick Wash has gone from 29 mins to 40 mins:
2) Rinse only has gone from 18 to 23 mins.Sorry for not knowing much about dishwashers but how exactly does colder water effect a dishwasher? What differance does colder water make since the machine heats the water up anyway?
This started happening on Saturday, it has not happened before!
The dishwasher still cleans and dries as it should.

Hi
Even when the times are shown they will deviate, the turbidity sensor will determine that and also during the pre rinse, wash and drying rinse cycles.
So as Mr P said, its pretty much down to external factors and internally how dirty the wash water is.HTH

As Penguin and Greg rightly stated the internal sensors are altering the programme times so that you get the best wash result.

My only concern is that:On the dishwasher, the chosen programme only begins when the door is closed.
Prior to closing the door and the programme starting, i can always go through any of the 6 programmes and the dishwasher indicates how long it will take.
for the last 6-8 months
1) Quick Wash has always shown 29 mins when selected only.
2) whilst cold Rinse has always shown 18 mins when selected only. (please note both these times are displayed before the programme starts i.e when the door is closed)my point is if the increase in programme duration took place during a programme/cycle, i can understand. But in this case why has the programme duration increased merely by just selecting a pgramme and not shutting the door in order to start the cycle.
now when ever i go through all the 6 programmes to see how long they will take;
1) Quick Wash no longer displays 29 mins but 40 mins:
2) pre-Rinse only no longer displays 18 to 23 mins.March 26, 2008 at 12:19 am #246741Penguin45

This could become a circular conversation.
