I had a call from a customer to say they had removed the small plastic float in the sump but couldn’t remember which way up i was.

Can someone tell me if this should have the grey or clear area facing up?

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

I will let the customer know.

Is this the device used for fill level instead of a flow meter?

    Hi
Yes, the older models use this float, some use the electronics to time the fill and then the rest use that flow meter/impeller jug.
Given the build age of your one its recommended to change the safety system assembly (mushroom shaped thing in base) also, p/no 490618.

Thanks for the advice, what would be the problem with this?

They were problematic, along with the float causing flooding.
Might as well get it done, saves you getting call back blaming you that its flooded now since you been :rolls:

Thats the best of my knowledge, just wait for a BSH guy to confirm or flame me before you order 😉 😆
