ParticipantFirst job on a Monday morning 😡
Customer reports machine stopped midway on a wash, no lights, nothing.
Supply to socket ok ,fuse ok, off with the door panel, check supply at switch ok, check supply out of switch ok. check supply at computer board ok.
Undo cover on computer board, burnt connection on relay pin (how many times have we seen that), but surely that is just for the heater, wouldn,t stop the whole machine, anyway resoldered and bridged pin. Try again still dead as a dodo. No other signs of bad connections on board.
Cant think of anything else that would stop the machine from at least showing some signs of life. Did notice the transformer on the pcb was just warm, so supply to that ok.Now the big decision for a one man band, to risk getting a new pcb for £100 less disc, and if it doesn’t work then money down the drain.
Any thoughts? appreciated.

Hi
This appliance is app 7 years old. What I do is point out the facts
1/ Age
2/ If that expensive part has gone, whats to say some other component isnt going to fail in the near future.
3/ Replacing part may fix appliance but it may still have other problems
Put the ball in their court as in as much to say, the decisions yours gven the facts.Off the record its 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to be the module just cover yer ass 😉

do it mallc, point out its an intergrated and will cost a fair bit of cash and hassle to replace. If you are getting a feed to the board, it has to be that. only six years prob since they bought it, not really what we would class as old. Make sure you make a decent wedge for yourself too.
