bosch SGS 4304 dishwasher keeps fillng and emptying

Hi all

I don’t normally work on dishwashers, but I have a problem with my mother in laws bosch SGS 4301. (This the late one with the tin bottom)

All it seems to do is start to fill then just switch straight to drain it will do this all day if left
I can even open the door and it just keeps going.

Any help please would really be appreciated

Its the old chestnut and well documented crud build up within the transfer tube, metering unit and occassionally the water matrix.

If its got a tin bottom it’s prob got a water input flow wheel ( impellor jug in bosch speak) , gives the same fault. just behind the fill valve and quit cheap.
