ParticipantThis is actually my parent’s machine. It’s about 10 years old, gets used once a day, and troublefree up until now…
I’ve checked the filter in the bottom of the machine, also checked the outlet pipe – all clear. I blew back the outlet pipe and got bubbles in the bottom of the machine, so I presume no blockage…
The machine runs OK up until it should ( I believe ) pump out – It fills, heats up, the rotors can be heard wirring, carries on for maybe 10 mins…then it stops. After a while the ‘END’ light illuminates.
I have tried the ‘RESET’ feature, but the machine never gets any further…
I know it has probably paid for itself, but any obvious fix I can try to eeek a little more out of it ?
Many Thanks..

Bail out the water, having removed filters and plug first. Remove the screw in the sump at the 9 o’clock position and lift the cover away. See if the impellor revealed will rotate. Cancel any existing progamme, then start a programme. The drain pump should run and may throw out any foreign body. If it doesn’t, it may be jammed or failed. If it’s failed, you’ll need one of THESE. If you can hear the pump running but it still doesn’t drain check the sink coupling (if applicable.).

Did all as you suggested Penguin, and it did the trick…
…found a piece of broken glass in the filter when removing, and the pump impellor did seem a little reluctant to turn at first. Couldn’t feel anything around the blades though, so maybe I dislodged it…
Once it was free running, I re-assembled and restarted, and all worked – fantastic !
Been running a couple of weeks now, with no further problems.
Many thanks Penguin, you truly are the Machine Master…lol
