Bosch SGS 5302 fault code 1

I have a Bosch SGS 5302 GB which is at least four years old. When turned on rather than starting the cycle the diplay shows a ‘1’ and the handbook does not list the fault codes. The machine does nothing.

I have checked the inlet hose and that is clear to the machine and I have cleaned both the inlet and the inside drain filters plus the area around the pump blades, but the fault remains.

Any suggestions as access to the rest of the system seems difficult.

Sorry APH 🙁 this fault code is normally indicating a faulty electronic control panel cost £78.00 +call out & labour +vat not really a diy repair look in directrories over to the left or use the new repairs@ on front page of this site to locate an independent engineer in your area.

Just to ensure it’s not the Water Softener indicator setting showing in the display, try ‘Resetting’ the machines programme 😉

With the machine switched on, press the ‘Intensive’ and ‘Eco’ buttons at the same time and hold for 2 seconds! Hopefully the result will be that the indicator shows “0” (Zero) and drains for 60secs before turning off 🙂
