ParticipantHelp please. Our dishwasher Bosch SGS 5302 is about 10 years old. My wife switched it on yesterday morning before she went to work and came home to find the display showing ‘Dry’ and the pump running. Otherwise it appeared to have completed the cycle. She thought there might be a problem so switched it off, emptied it then turned it back on again. The display now shows ‘Wash’ and there is a small red light at the bottom right of the display that I don’t recall seeing before. The discharge pump is running continuously (checked that by opening the door and pouring in some water) and the salt light is lit. We haven’t used salt in the machine since moving back to Devon about 7 years ago since the water in this part of the country is very soft and have had no problems up until now. The filters in the bottom of the machine are clean (we always rinse dishes before loading it) so any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi
If you mean it has a red dot in the corner of the display then it means the electronic module has failed and will need replacing.
Please post full model number eteched on top of stainless steel door inner.Greg

Greg,
Thanks for that. Yes, the display which normally shows a red bar to indicate wash, rinse or dry has a small red dot at the bottom right hand corner which is now permanently lit. The full model number is SGS5302GB/07.
Having discovered this site and studied a few of the other problems and responses I was hoping to get away with cleaning out some pipes or replacing a switch but given the age of the machine it may not be worth repairing depending on the cost of the electronic module. Any further thoughts?
