ParticipantHi I’m having some issues with a bosch sgs43a32gb/01 it seams to be getting stuck mid cycle and pulses the active, rinse aid and salt LEDs for a few seconds makes a pump running Noise then repeats the LED pulsing then pump running noise until switched off.
I’ve striped it down and removed some glass from the recycle pump which appears to run ok as all the jets are going when opened mid cycle, water comes in ok and the pump empties the waste ok too. I’ve tested the heating element (22.5ohms) and tested the thermistor which changes resistance in hot/cold water as I believe it should. I’ve striped Down the panel and the control PCB seams pristine no evidence of over heating or burnt out components. I’ve not noticed it heating the water up but this maybe because it’s gets stuck before the heating cycle? Any help would be much appreciated as the wife won’t tolerate it being out if action for much longer!November 21, 2016 at 8:46 am #443024Martin

If you haven’t already done so, remove and clean the magnet float under the fine mesh filter. (Be sure and refit it the same way.)

OK so your next challenge is to check the earth potential on the heater. If there is any leakage to earth at all the microprocessor will behave like a monkey in a straightjacket.

Just got round to testing No earth leakage to ground found just 22.2ohms across the elements terminals.
Would a faulty recycle motor starter capacitor have anything to do with it? I found a shard of glass in the prop housing when I separated it from the heater section, could that intermittanly jamming damage the motor (which has been powering the rotors before and after the glass was removed) or the starter cap straining to start a jammed motor ?November 24, 2016 at 11:47 am #443028Weightec1
