Initial complaint was that machine was sticking on cycle.

Checked heater, module for bad contacts, door loom etc. was a bit pushed for time so left the machine on rinse only cycle and asked the customer to report back, thinking that if it stuck on this then I was not looking a a heat related fault.

Customer has just rung back to say that not only did it complete the quick rinse cycle, but it has since done a full wash programme perfectly.

I wish I could market whatever it is that makes machines work perfectly as soon as I pass my hands over them 🙂 .

Could I have cleared a fault that is likely to return by tilting the machine over. base was bone dry BTW.

PS. how does the top of the mushroom come off?

Probably fill float sticking thus constantly fill/empty on the mushroom.
Replace pcb with revised logic and new safety system (mushroom).

It doesn’t, whole assy must be removed. Take base off, cut ball off bottom of mushroom stem, then snap stem above barbs, remove from inside tank.

P.S. a blob of grease helps hold the polystyrene float in place when refitting base 😉

Thanks boro, I told her that I suspected the fault would return, will have to wait and see.
