ParticipantBeen to above tonight. Fills till the mushroom in the middle of the cabinet lifts and drains. Checked the float with the magnet moves up and down and is magnetic (no pressure switch)and turned it round just in case. only 18 months old and fault occurs intermittently as per customer. Any ideas?. Is it likely to be board?
Thanks

SimonIf you have turned float around, put it back to the light coloured part upwards.
I have found module to be at fault mostly with the overfill, along with the magnet chaffing on crud.Greg

If the FD is before 8211 (IIRC) then a new module and mushroom float sould be fitted.
The new module will “time out” on the fill and thus avoid any embarrassing leaks. 😳
For the record, the factory says the reed switch float should be grey side up. 😉April 8, 2005 at 5:40 pm #131000Simon46

Thanks BSH man. You are a credit to this site. Does the whole assembly have to be fitted or can the mushroom just be changed?
Cheers

replace both pcb and mushroom together to get job right.
new logic on pcb is timed fill for wash instead of relying on reed s/w

Similar to the E2 thread on the bosch fridge freezer two module parts are listed on the BSH website. 488155 and 489492(subst). Which is the one to order?
Regards
