Been to this dishwasher before for the same fault about a year ago. It is the plastic tub version with the little float (part # 188106) in the sump under a cover around the size of a £1 coin. On my last call, I removed the float, cleaned it with washing up liquid and used my bottle brush (vital tool) to clean the inside of it also. This worked fine and I even showed the customer how to do this herself. She has called me back a year later telling me that she does this cleaning procedure maybe every 2 or 3 washes. The fault is intermittent flooding out of the door due to an over fill. I have played with the plastic float inside that operates the flood protection and that is working ok. Maybe the magnetic field inside this float fades in time????
Anyone any ideas? I’m tempted to order up a float as they are only about £5 retail

    Cheers.
    Rob.

Had this before – if cleaning doesn’t work you will need a new PCB (new software version) pt. no. 489494 £62.00+ vat and the new float safety system pt.no. 489542 £4 – £5 ish.
I had this happen and it solved it – thanks to Gegsy’s post back along!!!

    Thanks Aqualectric for that credit.
On this model its worth either cleaning the little float and its travel; 5 oclock position in sump when youve taken filter unit out with a plastic cover over it, OR replacing it 188106; aswell as changing the parts you mentioned.

    Regards
