Weird one. Fills, drains, heats, circulates – all lovely.

However, for the final rinse…it just keeps filling and filling…

Eventually the mushroom switch is triggered and the water drains out…until the float sinks – then it starts filling again. This will continue until you get bored enough to reset the machine.

Old board was blown and has been replaced but fault is still occurring.

No pressure chamber. Couldn’t spot how it was keeping track of its fill levels.

    I am flummoxed.

Remove the filter and look carefully at the sump. On the edge at about 5 o’clock is a cap. Lift it and underneath in a vertical slide is a magnetic float. This operates a reed switch on the underside of the machine. Use a small screwdriver to slide it up and out. NOTE WHICH WAY IT COMES OUT!! It will only work the correct way up!! 😉

    Probable causes:-

    1) Float has taken on water. It has a clear section so you can see. New float kit required.
    2) The float is sticking in its slide. Clean with a toothbrush and refit.
    3) Whole set up is goosed. Buy new float kit (188106) and reed switch (188105) – both are quite cheap.

    HTH,

    Steve.
