Dishwasher started just pumping – fixed it by tipping the machine to drain base. Second time in a month had to do the same, so decided to find the leak. Could I heck as like, so I took apart as far as I dare – still no sign of leaking (stains around joints, pipes etc – no)

I then removed the big motor bit on the right where it joins to the sump and a complicated bit on the back (Bosch PartNo.48 3257) and had to remove the hose clip.
Put it all back together, switch on, it fills with water, pump starts to run….and it piddles out of the hose joint where the original clip was.

    Now my questions
    1. Do I need an original Bosch clip for this – is the pressure that high? – where it joins the sump its just a push fit. Jubilee clips are too wide to fit the narrow space available, so I used a sliding band clip as used on car CV joints – only thing i had to hand.
    2. Could there be a blockage in Part 48 3257 that is increasing the pressure as water is unable to get into it, which is causing the leak?
    3. Is there anything else I should look at to find where the original leak was?
I checked all hoses for blockages and pump impellors are all free, clear plastic matrix style things on left hand side look pretty clean….

    Thanks
    Jonathan
