My machine stopped working with water still in the bottom and no lights on the front panel.
I have checked the plug socket/fuse and the pump impeller in the bottom
they appear to be o.k.
I managed to get the top front panel off and i have got power going to the on/off switch. I think that the door interlock is working o.k. i checked it using a test lamp and my limited electrical knowledge.
What can i test now and how?
If anybody has any ideas what the problem is it would be much appreciated, my wife is starting to give me earache.June 28, 2009 at 11:13 pm #290508Simon46

May be module. Please do not test live. Unplug power and check for live /neutral using ohms scale on multimeter.

Live testing is NOT needed, Don’t do it.

Once again, all posters are reminded to read and understand the Forum Rules, which are posted for everybody’s safety, guidance and clarity in what the forums can offer.
In view of the information posted so far, using a test meter to chase the wiring through the power switch and door switch into the PCB should prove continuity. If it’s there, the culprit will be the PCB. You may hit lucky and find that there is a burnt-out solder joint in the power supply, but don’t bet on it.
Replacement PCB is p/no 491651, about £85 I think.
Micsout, it’s not personal. If you get a shock trying to solve this, it will not come back to advice given on this forum. We also have future readers of these threads to consider.
