ParticipantHi,
I’m new here…..
Done brown goods for a few years, but I’m a novice on white goods.
My Bosch Exxcel dishwasher is giving me problems – The control module recently expired and was replaced by a local cowboy. This part seems OK except the display is now 2 digit instead of the previous 2 1/2 (shows 2H for 2 hours instead of 120) I’m guessing this is OK and is just due to a newer version controller…
Since the controller was replaced, the bottom rack has not been cleaning properly.
Checked the filters, cleaned the rotors etc etc.,
A bit of experimenting has proven that there is virtually no pressure to the lower rotor. While the top rotor is fine.
I’ve lifted off the gray bottom rotor mount / top rotor feed and run up the pump. there is plenty of pressure through the top feed spigot and negligible from the bottom.
I guess these both run from the same pump – So why the discrepancy in pressure?
I’ve used a length of pipe to blow back through the lower rotor spigot and it doesn’t seem to be blocked in any way………Hope someone can shed light on this.

Yes…your model has a diverter mounted on the heater box which alternately directs the water between the upper and lower arms so that’s likely where the problem lies. Unfortunately this is not available as a separate part but comes complete with the heater etc. 🙁
To replace it is a major strip-down but not complex. If you need to obtain it you could have a look in Shop@?

Do you have the old module? It is possible that it is not the correct part for your machine as it produces a different display and has seemingly no control over the diverter valve.
Contact Spares @ and supply the ‘E’ and ‘FD’ numbers off the rating plate etched into the top of the door. Compare the part number with the number on your box. If they don’t match exactly, your problems could lie there. 😉
Check that first!!!Hope that helps!

Hi
There is a good chance that the new module has not been coded correctly, which would give you weird opertions and cycles.Greg
