ParticipantHi,
Machine found full of water, drain pump not operating, baled out, drain pump jammed/released. Reassembled but machine will not reset; “On” and “Rinse Aid” LED’s just flashing. Water on floor surrounding machine, may have overfilled. Is this a PCB fault?
Thanks,

Any Boschmeisters out there?
Do I need a new electronic or what?

I am not a Boschmeister but I would suggest that you should, if you have not already, examine carefully the fill matrix / pressure switch / transfer tube to sump area for blockages. Or the mushroom thing for correct operation, if that’s what your model has.
Also, if the pump was trying to operate when jammed for any length of time, as it very probably was, perhaps it could have taken out a triac on the board? It would make sense to examine the board very closely for damage anyway.
Anyway, the fact that I have responded to your post now, will probably bring out a flood of real Boschmeisters, checking that I haven’t given out duff info. again. 🙂

Mike’s advice is good to go Conor for sure. 😀
It’s the plastic tub version so it’s best to remove and clean the magnetic float sensor that just lies under the filter in the 6 o’clock position under a small plastic cap. (Make special note of its orientation as you remove it and put it back the same way otherwise it will overfill yet again.)
The module should reset once you’ve cleared the flood and checked that the float switch inside the base is operating correctly. If, after doing all that it still overfills then you may have to quote for fitting a new style mushroom float assy AND a module conversion as there has been a mod on this to cure overfill probs. However I suspect that not to be the fault in this case as it’s just a blocked pump that started the chain of events anyway.
Let us know how you get on.
