Our 2½ year old Bosch Dishwasher SGS43T52GB/21 now only manages to produce tepid water, so fat left undisolved, and machine runs for ages, presumably whilst the controller waits for an ‘up to temperature’ signal.

    Please advise:
    – Is there an easy way to test whether the failure is with the heater unit or ‘Sensor-ntc’? Heater unit appears unblocked, and there is no scale on the heating elements.
    – Is ‘483257’ the correct Part No for the heater unit? FD 8507 005552

You can test the heater element for resistance – It should read approx 23 – 28 ohms.

There are other possible reasons for a no heating problem.

Failure of component/track on control module
Low water levels due to blocked pressure chamber/ribbedfill hose.
