I have a bosch SGS43T92GB/37 dishwasher in for repair.
All it will do is fill and then drain. It does not go into wash mode. The “Check Water” light comes on after a delay. The inlet solenoid is working and the machine fills with water. Just after the inlet solenoid is a “Impeller Jug” which I guess tells the control that there is water entering the machine.
Question: Do these give trouble and how can I test it?
I don’t have any experience with dishwashers so any help will be useful.
    Regards
    Pete

If you search for “impellor Jug” on here you will find that it is a very common cause of the check water light coming on – you can try checking for continuity being made and broken will putting a magnet back and forth across it or just change it anyway.

Yes they do and don’t bother to “test it”, just replace it. (Always worth having a couple as van stock). 😀

Order a couple as they fail all the time!

I fitted new impeller jug and all working fine now, thanks for the posts.
Curiosity got the better of me so I did some tests on the old and the new one before fitting it. I connected an oscilloscope across the outside two connections and then blew through the impeller, on the new one I got a nice waveform but on the old one just rubbish. I then broke the old one open and found the glass on the magnetic switch was broken, no other thing seemed wrong.
