Bosch Classixx dishwasher SGS45C02GB/06 Type: S115N1B When switched on, my Bosch dishwasher hums but does nothing more. The ‘time remaining’display shows numbers that we don’t recognise from years of using the machine (eg, 158 minutes for the Eco programme!). My first thought was to check that the drainage pump/piping was working OK – I poured in a couple of litres of water which was removed after a few seconds, so that system seems to be OK. I opened the door during one such test, but the humming continued. There was no longer any water in the sump under the drainage filter in the floor of the washing chamber, but I observed a jet of water flowing left to right at the bottom of the sump. With the door open and the machine switched on, I was surprised to see this. We live in an area with very chalky water – is it possible that a critical sensor has been disabled by limescale build-up? Advice on any such sensors (including where to find it/them) would be appreciated. Likewise, any other theories about what might be wrong would be appreciated.
