this dishwasher works fine for a wee while then all the lights and display go off.
if i hit the bezel it comes back on exactly where it went off,
i looked at the on/off switch, the door microswitch and the pcb all looked fine no burning no dry joints no bad connections no broken wires any of you bosch specialists out there point me in the right direction please.

If it works when you thump it then that must mean there’s something loose or broken and if that is, as P45 says, the pcb then it might be caused by door slamming. Now, let’s suppose it’s a tiny invisible crack somewhere (I’ve had this when repairing audio equipment), you may find it can be overcome by stuffing something non-conductive in the pcb box to put it under a just a leetle bit of tension. Bit of trial and error involved but you could charge for that if successful. Better than landfill if the customer won’t stretch.

I quite agree, here’s one (same model) I came across back in February.

It’s the mains tranny that cooks as a result of customers leaving the machine plugged in and turned on day and night!

i think emw fitted a new transformer on one for me once, they usually only do the no heat fault but because i could see it was the transformer at fault they sorted it. makes a worth while job of it.
