ParticipantHello,
I have the above mentioned dishwasher that has developed a fault. I’m no expert but am quite technically minded and don’t mind repairing stuff.
The problem is the dishwasher starts filling, gets full and the float switch engages,it them begins to drain (cos of the switch) it drains for 2 seconds then starts to fill again. It fills until the float switch is activated, then begins to drain and so on and so on, it does this forever and a day and never actually starts to clean.
I’ve had the thing apart and cleaned all the pipes and tubes on the left hand side of the machine, including the float switch. I guess it’s the electronic programmer but want someones professional opinion before I cough up the £75 for a new one.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance.

It’s a classic PCB failure on these particular machines. Replacement board has modified software.

I would also consider the flowmeter/impeller jug p/no 424099
These are prone to give problems like you are getting.
Module and/or impeller jug are available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.ukGreg

Well, I tried the module! £85 later, no joy!! it still won’t start the programme. It fills but won’t progress on to actually washing.
Do I try the impaller jug or cut my losses and buy a new one?
Help, please help.

You’ve come this far for the sake of an impeller jug it has to be a worth a shot.
Obviously its your decision 😉Greg

It’s an in line flow meter and as such sits in line of the water supply.

if it’s only £11 I guess it’s worth a go.

Woo Hoo!!
I took the impaler jug off, gave it a blow (both directions) to get it moving and clicking and HEY PRESTO!! my dishwasher is working fine!!
Obviously if it goes again i’ll just replace it (the impaller i mean)
Can’t believe i’ve had to waste £16 on ordering and then sending back a module when all along it was an £11 piece of plastic.
Thanks guys, if it was up to the missus I would be £250 out of pocket with a shiney new dishawasher in the kitchen.
I’m off to buy a new guitar to celebrate, well I have got a spare “250 now:0)

ParticipantHi everyone. I’ve got an SGS43T12 and it’s doing exactly the same thing. I’d also like to fix it myself, but am not completely sure where to locate the impeller jug. Do I access it from the inside of the machine or from the rear? Can anyone advise please? Many thanks!

Remove plug and left hand side panel for awkward access.
