Bosch SGS47E02GB/56 not heating – element is okay

Hello,

I have a Bosch SGS47E02GB/56 dishwasher. We suffered a flood in the kitchen. Once the dishwasher dried out it was fine except for the circulation motor which suffered some bearing damage. When I ran it the washer it all worked (except for the noisy motor).
I have now replaced the motor and it all works okay except the water is not being heated.
I have checked the heater element and it’s reading around 25-30ohms. I’ve also checked the control module and the pcb, components and soldered joints all look okay.
When the washer is running there is no voltage reading across the heater, either directly or before the pressure switch (eliminating the heater element and pressure switch as the source).

What else can I check ? Is there a separate temperature sensor somewhere ?

What are the water levels like ? Low water level will prevent the heater from operating . There should be enough water to almost cover the base and normally reach the lower edge of the salt pot lid

The water level looks fine. I’ve also checked the switch continuity when the washer is running and the switch is operating correctly.

Im sure you are Keith, but there are others that may read this thread that aren’t as safety conscious or as aware as yourself, so we must stress that LIVE testing is not recommended. Power off before attempting any investigations and or repair 😉
