Anyone got any ides why my Bosch is not draining water away? Have cheked the filters and the pump and nothing blocking them. Typical three days before Christmas and a house full of people!

    Thanks

first things first – can you hear the pump running if you re-set the appliance ?

If not , re-check the drain pump carefully.

If it’s running but still not draining , check the drain connection….especially if its connected to your waste under a sink .

it may be the drain matrix at the back of the w/m…i am not familiar with the model but….if you can pull the machine out…power off of course, and the drain hose is at the top right hand corner, take the lid off and check the plastic matrix which is tubed to the drain pump and the drain hose is directly connected to it on the outside of the machine…even a small bit of fabric lint can stop the drain process.
    hope this helps

Thanks for all these tips. The pump is working, it is draining away some of the water but not all, the drainage hose is not blocked so we are still at a loss as to what the problem is! The dishes are coming out clean though, so if anyone has any other thoughts they would be much appreciated.

    Merry Christmas

Richards’ senior moment is not entirely without merit. The machine has a matrix under the left hand side panel. The rear two tubes are the drain section. It is possible for an obstrudction to build up in there. Also worth looking at the top left corner for fat deposits. Thorough cleaning and violent shaking will dislodge most of it. Failing that, the drain hose itself may contain a foreign body, ot the sink coupling itself (if applicable).

    Power off first.

Thanks for this – but being a novice, a silly question I know, but how do you access these tubes, pipes and matrix? 😀

i have recovered from the senior moment now…the drugs have kicked in..to get to the matrix, …remove the top lid of d/w….remove left side panel and all will be revealed..look at the plastic matrix and there could be a build up of food waste which stops the d/w draining…
