I removed the sump and heater and pumps and nothing appears broken or blocked, I even took the heater apart to check the diaphragm that operates the microswitch. could it be the thermistor faulty ?

Let me recall the story so far. You have 240v to the heater microswitch and the neutral return on the heater. But because the flow microswitch doesn’t operate (for whatever reason) there’s no supply direct to the heater? But if you bypassed the microswitch (albeit a temporary test) and fed that instead to the heater then it still fails to heat?

Maybe I got all of the above wrong here, not sure ❗

Interestingly Bosch diswashers are switched on the neutral side so perhaps you only have a live feed down there and no neutral return. That being the case then the control unit may be at fault.

Thermistors on the top of the heater unit are usually pretty reliable by the way.
