KeymasterHi,
I wonder if you peeps can help me, i have a bosch sgs5302gb dishwasher that refuses to pump out. i have checked and cleaned all of the filters including removing the pump cover in the sump and cleaning it out. i didnt find any debris that would stop the pump from pumping.i switched it off left it for a short while then switched it back on to no avail.
the dislpay on the front has the wash line on and there is a small red dot that has appeared in the bottom right of the display.i was wondering if anyone has any ideas
and help would be recieved very gratefully!!!many thanks again

When you had that pump cover off, did you try to turn the pump by hand? Sometimes debris can be trapped uner the impellor, often broken glass so take care ❗ If the pump turned freely, then, other than checking the drain hose is not blocked at the end where it connects to your drain, there is not a lot else for you to try.

What you can do and what I find effective is, as you have done, remove pump cover and set to empty. Any hidden debris will be fired out of pump area and into cavity;; retrieve foreign object and bin and re assemble. 😀 sometimes they get an airlock or empty hose gets blocked, usually if it goes to sink where allsorts of lovelies go down it.

This is normally an indication that there is a fault with the electronic control panel. Try pressing the two buttons marked “reset” at the same time, the display should then show ‘O’ and the pump should run, if you cannot reset then the fault is definately in the electronics, not really a diy repair, consult the ‘directories’ listing over to the left of this page to locate an engineer in your postcode area

Has now happened for the second time on me to the same dishwasher.
Cured on calling out the engineer who replaced the Control Module (PCB)
behind the front panel (when under guarantee). The module costs around £90-£110, so does not seem worth replacing – unless of course some bright spark out there can work out which component on the PCB controls the drain cycle. Then it’s pennies to fix!As this is a definately a design problem on this model, Bosch should do the honourable thing and supply a replacement part.

It may not be that this time though 😉
Possibly a blockage or pump failure ?

It should be easy enough to work out in theory, please pull the plug if you’re going to have a delve around though :plug:

Are you sure you meant to post in the Dishwasher Forum 😕
However, your washing machine will involve a certain amount of dismantling in order to do that, I would therefore advise expert help from this stage. Do go into “repairs@” and fill in your details for further assistance 😉
