ParticipantHi,
Can someone tell me when these machines were last manufactured?
I’m winning a bid on ebay for on, and it states its two years old, although the design suggests its older than this.
Even if it is older, am I on a loser 2nd hand wise?
Or as it’s a Bosch, should I, in the words of Bon Jovi “Keep The Faith”???
Thanks
Jason
ps: Great site – searching forum helped me loads with a White Knight tumble drier 😆June 30, 2007 at 9:27 pm #219194gegsy

Hi
These came about circa April 1999. They are a good machine but suffer from the well know crudding up of the internal pipework if you don’t rinse plates before loading and also the no heat due to depleted solder on one pin of the heater relay (no big deal).
IMHO they are a solid reliable unit 😀Greg

Started April 99. Probably a two year run at most before supercession. Decent machine though.

Thanks Greg,
Good to know its solid and reliable….
Sad to know seller on ebay is a lying toe rag!!!
I’ve bid £70, no doubt massively ripped off
*sigh*
Thanks again

Next question….
(Jeez I’m embarrassed what I never got taught at school)
What do I need to connect this to the water supply? Hot or cold?
I live in a pub, and my room has a sink with water coming straight up from the kitchen downstairs via two exposed grey pipes….I’m guessing I will need a connection of some sort to both water and drain….
Thanks guys..

Hmmmm…..
Okay.. (puts shame to one side)
You say the internal pipe work can get clogged if previous food has not been rinsed off plates…..
Is there any way to “flush” the pipes as such to ensure they are clear?

Yea, but I wouldn’t worry too much at this moment 😀

Won said dishwasher for £72.05…
Being that the seller is a lying bugger, in your honest opinion, have I got a washer that will see me through a year or two?
(Its not the price, its the lying that annoys me…)
PS: Being that I live above the bar, can machines “flood” and anyway to prevent this? (apart from keeping pipes clear etc) You wouldnt wanna get pissed on whilst having a pint!! 😆
Thanks, as always…

If only I knew where I had left my crystal ball 😆
Im sure the machine will do you proud 😉
As for leaking, it has a solid base with an antiflood float so I would think the chances are zero TBH 😀Greg
