You might still like to check the heater relay, in my experience the water can be heated slightly by a wash pump thats been running for ages and beginning to hot and bothered 😉

I took the unit apart this afternoon, and sure enough there was a burnt out track on the relay in the middle of the board. A bit of wire and some solder sorted things, and the dishwasher is working fine again.
