For a while now there has been a pool of water left after the programme has finished.
More recently the machine has not been cleaning thoroughly leaving small white deposits.
Now the programmes seem to be taking much longer than usual to complete cylce.
    Any adice appreciated…

You must have some sort of blockage, somewhere. Assume that the pump runs as it is getting some of the water away, so choked sink coupling where the drain hose joins on is always a good bet; crushed/nipped drain hose is another. It is possible for the matrix under the left hand side to get blocked, although this is unusual.

Power off if you need to remove any panel.

    Thank you for the reply.

I have dismantled and cleaned all the pipes and filters and now the machine is emptying correctly, hurrah!

The cycles are taking a long time to run. It seems that the water is taking a long time to heat. When I open the door during the cycle I notice the washing tablet is not fully dissolved, any ideas?

How many hoses did you clean out? The one in the bottom left corner chokes up and causes underfilling problems, leading to the heater not working properly……

Computer board also suffers from dry/burnt joints at the relay, again slow/erratic heating follows.

Both problems will extend your wash time.

    Re: Bosch SGS5312GB/12 problems

    I cleaned all the hoses.

Today I took out the circuit board and noticed one of the terminals ws burnt out. I re-soldered it and put the dishwasher on a normal wash 65 degrees. After 10 mainutes I opened the door to see of the water was hot, it wasn’t. I shut the door and pushed the switch – nothing, no lights. Took the circuit board out again noticed the terminal next the one I soldered was also burnt out, re-soldered it back together still nothing.

    Options:

    1. Admit defeat go and buy a new dishwasher.
    2. Buy new circuit board.
    3. Teach the kids how to wash up!

If it lit up prior to the repair and now doesn’t, it more or less has to be down to how you have re-connected everything – check all connectors are fully home and in the correct position, check connector into power switch. It’s possible that the pcb has just died, but it would be a bit of a coincedence.

    Thanks, Penguin.

All connectors are fully home and in the correct position. One of the black boxes on the was hot. Still no light.

    What is the pcb?

Printed circuit board – that which you have been working on….. Sounds like it’s expired; very unlucky after that much work.

Replacement is p/no 264877, showing at £110 from BSH.

    Re: Bosch SGS5312GB/12 problems

I don’t want to spend any more time or money on the machine. 🙁

The machine is about 8 years old. We are a family of 6 and the machine was being used at least 2 times per day. So now I’m thinking of a new machine. Any recommendations?
