ParticipantThis is my first post. Hope i’m in the right place.
As I mentioned, our dishwasher will not get past the first part of the wash cycle on any program. It will just run for hours. We have had this washer for over 5 years and it has never had any problems before. I have tried resetting using the 2 & 4 buttons but no change. I have looked at the spinning arms inside the dishwasher and they appear to be clear. I don’t think there is much water getting into the system, can these dishwashers get blocked on the water intake? I’m not an expert but can take things to bits (and reassemble) so any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance,
Simon.

Morning,
Sounds as though the heater relay has a dry/burning joint on it. It is situated to the right hand side of fascia panel and is not a DIY job to rectify.
Look in the directories and pop your post code in for an agent close to you.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the quick response.
Have had a local guy come and have a look, says it’s the heater has gone and will cost £51 for a new one. Since your suggestions was of a similar vien I will trust that this will fix the problem. Many thanks for your help,
Simon.

Simon,
Indeed those heater are’nt cheap. I wonder what would be the labour charge to fit, as that isn’t an easy job?
Incidentally, I haven’t had an element go so far on that model. As Kevin suggested in most cases it is the Control Module that burns out. Can be even cheaper to fix?
Can I ask, when you ‘reset’ the programme, does it indicate ‘Zero’ on the LED, pump for 60 seconds then stop I wonder?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my Bosch SGS5312GB/12. It performs the wash cycle but never ends, it never rinses. A reset will howver stop the cycle and drain the machine.
Is it the controller that is at fault?
Any info wlecome.

ParticipantRog,
As described in other posts in this forum, the fault will almost certainly be a dry joint on the computer board. You can double check this by setting the machine to the quickwash programme – it will almost certainly complete, as this programme runs against time and does not “hold for heat” as the others do.Do nothing internally without pulling the plug first.
